Protest at Woodside AGM
PERTH — Woodside Petroleum shareholders were greeted by protesters representing the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and Friends of Australian Rock Art at the Perth Convention Centre on April 19. FARA's message to Woodside's annual general meeting was clear: Move Woodside, not rock art! The protesters were calling on Woodside not to proceed with the massive Pluto liquefied natural gas project, which will irreparably damage the world's oldest and largest outdoor rock art landscape and desecrate the sacred site at Murujuga — the Burrup.

"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
