It's time for an anti-war surge!
One of Resistance's main campaigns is to strengthen the movement across Australia to end the occupation of Iraq. As well as building the biggest possible protests on March 17-18, the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, we are helping to organise contingents from around the country to join the mass convergence in Sydney when US President George Bush comes to the APEC meeting in September.
If you are against the war and want to get more involved with Resistance's campaigns, here are some things you can do:
Phone Resistance to get leaflets and posters for the March 17-18 protests and organise a stall at your school, university or local shopping centre.
Make an announcement about the protest in your lectures and tutorials, or at your school assembly.
Talk to your local Resistance activists about when and where the nearest anti-war campaign group meets. In each city, Resistance is involved in these groups to help build a mass movement against the war.
Invite a speaker to your school or campus from Resistance or the anti-war group to start a discussion about the war in Iraq and what people can do to stop it.
Ask your SRC or student union to endorse and help promote the protests against Bush, and any other anti-war rallies coming up.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
