UNITED STATES: Bill to discriminate against gay, single parents
An interim legislative committee in Indiana is considering a bill to prohibit gay men, lesbians and single people from using medical science to help them have a child. Assisted reproduction is defined in the bill as causing pregnancy through means other than sexual intercourse, including intrauterine insemination, egg donation, embryo donation, in vitro fertilisation and sperm injection. "Intended parents" are required to be married to each other. Parents would have to undergo an assessment of their education, employment and fertility history, their personalities and lifestyles, criminal record, plans for child care and marital status. The committee will vote on whether to recommend the legislation to the General Assembly on October 20.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
