Protest against James Hardie
SYDNEY — Forty members of the Asbestos Diseases Foundation and supporters from the union movement protested outside the James Hardie shareholders' meeting on September 19. "It's outrageous that we're still asking James Hardie Industries to pay compensation to asbestos victims", ADFA's Barry Robson told the media. "Why must sick men and women and their families have to protest in the streets to get their rights?" The meeting was set to approve major increases in James Hardie directors' fees.
