Peace activists freed from US jails
By Bill Mason
BRISBANE — Ciaron O'Reilly and Moana Cole, peace activists from Brisbane, have been released from prisons in the US after serving year-long sentences for damaging a B-52 bomber and a runway in January 1991.
The two had been allowed bail while appealing against a ruling ordering them deported from the US.
Moana Cole's mother, Pearl Cavander-Cole, said she was concerned for her daughter's health because she had been kept in eight substandard jails across America where Moana had been denied fresh air, nutritious food and exercise.
Ciaron's father, Garrett O'Reilly, said: "We're proud of him and support him all the way. We support anyone who promotes peace."

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
