An estimated 200 million people died as a result of war during the 20th century, including:
- World War I (1914-18): 15 million
- World War II (1937-45): 55 million
- Korean War (1950-53): 2.8 million
- Vietnam War (1960-75): 3.5 million
- Gulf War (1990-91): 100,000
