The Boy who Plays on the Buddhas of Bamiyan — In March 2001, the Taliban destroyed the 1600-year-old Buddhas of Bamiyan. This film centres on Mir Hussain, an eight-year-old boy whose family fled their home village and sought refuge in the rubble and tunnels of the burned-out statues. SBS, Tuesday, March 8, 10pm.
