Today's tragic events show us that the current strategies in the War on Terror are not effective and do not promote peace.

Situations like this call for cool heads and a careful re-assessment of the reactions and short and long-term strategies to global affairs.

True peace can only be achieved through international co-operation which genuinely addresses the needs, wishes and aspirations of the whole human community.
