Rodents lay trap for Downer

MELBOURNE — The Socialist Alliance laid a trap for foreign minister Alexander Downer as he was to address a conference on human rights in Iraq on October 1. With a rodent trap baited with cheese made of lies, Socialist Alliance activists dressed in rodent suits ready to greet Downer and make him account for his lies. Downer cunningly dodged the trap by entering the conference through a rear entrance, possibly the sewer.
