Students to protest war on March 20
Student organisations and activist groups have decided to mobilise as many young people as possible on March 20, to protest the occupation of Iraq.
The National Union of Students is supporting the protests, and will produce a poster advertising the event in time for campus orientation weeks.
The La Trobe University and Wollongong University students representantive councils have voted to publicise the rally. The Wollongong SRC has also made plans to organise a student contingent for the Sydney demonstration.
The Newcastle University education collective, the Sydney University Education Action Network, the La Trobe University Education and Welfare Action Collective, the WA Cross Campus Education Network and the National Union of Students Queensland education collective are all planning to organise student contingents at the demonstrations around the slogan "Fund Education, not the military".
For information about activities on your campus, contact Resistance at your local activist centre as listed on page 2, or your student organisation.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
