IRELAND: Bush gets a rowdy Irish welcome
As US President George Bush's plane touched down at Shannon Airport in Ireland's west, more than 10,000 protesters turned out in Dublin on June 25 to protest his visit, and call on their government to stop allowing US war planes to refuel at Shannon. Another 1500-2000 protested in Galway, and around 1500 marched to Shannon Airport from a peace camp set up to protest the nearby summit between Bush and the EU.
