Undercover police shown using capsicum spray
This photo
was sent to student anti-war organisation Books Not Bombs by a supporter
who attended the April 2 anti-war protest in Sydney. It shows two plain
clothes police officers. Shortly after the picture was taken, he indiscriminately
sprayed the crowd with pepper spray.
The police have claimed, in contradiction to eyewitness reports, that
the undercover cop was backed up against a wall by protesters when he used
the pepper spray.
The Legal Observers Project is calling for the results of the police
inquiry into the incident to be made public. For more information, or if
anyone witnessed the incident, phone Dale Mills on 0407 498 512.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
