The article "Victimised unionist garners support" in Green Left Weekly issue #387 reported that an Australian Bureau of Statistics NSW sub-delegates' committee meeting voted unanimously for a motion in support of Organising Works trainee John Gauci, who has been suspended by the Community and Public Sector Union. In fact, one delegate voted against the motion.
The article also incorrectly reported that the motion called for the NSW branch secretary to apologise. While motions passed by delegates from Intellectual Property Australia and Screensound, and CPSU members at the annual general meeting of the ACT branch did call for an apology, the ABS motion did not.

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
