FSLN sends greetings to PRD
The following resolution was passed by the FSLN's highest decision-making body. The motion was moved by Dorotea Wilson, who recently toured Australia.
"The Second Congress of the FSLN, held in Managua, Nicaragua, on the 22nd and 23rd of May, 1998, sends greetings of solidarity and celebration to the people of Indonesia on their "days of joy" after the defeat of the dictator Suharto."
[The "days of joy" refers to the days after the Nicaraguan dictator, Anastasio Somoza, fled just before as the FSLN swept to power, leaving his vice-president in charge.]
"We fully support the demands of the People's Democratic Party (PRD) for the liberation of all political prisoners in Indonesia.
"We also support the PRD activists in their struggle to transform this democratic victory to a revolutionary victory.
"Free homeland or death."

By now we all know that the rich get richer under capitalism. But many are astounded at the incredible pace this takes place.
"Without Green Left Weekly, freedom of press and public truth-telling in Australia would be gravely ill."
