The Women's Circus, based in Melbourne, is an innovative community arts project. Now it has been documented in the splendid book, Women's Circus: Leaping Off the Edge. The book's authors, women who have performed in the circus, hope that their stories of women's strengths, struggles and achievements will inspire all who read them. Women's Circus is published by Spinifex Press, 1997. $29.95 (pb).
