Greens launch employment policy

By Sean Moysey CANBERRA — ACT Greens lead senate candidate Deborah Foskey launched the Australian Greens' work and employment policy outside the CES office in Civic on February 2. Foskey said that the "solution to unemployment is linked to sound environmental management", and that regional committees "dealing with unemployment at a local level ... could provide one of the answers to youth unemployment". She added that the Labour and Liberal parties offer "only bandaids". "The Coalition's Green Corps cynically exploits young people's concern about the environment". The Greens are standing two senate candidates in the ACT, Foskey and Jonathan Miller. In the lower house, the ACT Greens are running Miko Kirschbaum for the seat of Frazer, Shane Rattenbury for Namadgi and Gordon McAllister for Canberra.
