Forum: Tortured for giving care: Bahrani nurse tells her story
Rula Al'Saffar, President of the Bahrain Nursing Society, was named the 11th most influential person in the Middle East. In 2011, she was tortured by the Bahraini government after treating protestors injured during anti-government uprisings. Rula will tell the story of how a campaign for better wages turned into a crisis when her hospital was militarized. With Michael Hayworth, Amnesty crisis campaigner.
