Defend the right to protest: Stop police move-on notices at protests
Court solidarity action in support of the right to protest. Kamala Emanuel was given a "move-on" notice by police for holding on to a banner at a rally against gas "fracking" in April 2012 and was charged with not obeying a police direction to stop taking part in the legal, peaceful protest. Her trial concludes on January 24.
Perth Magistrates' Court, 501 Hay St, Perth.

"Australia has the most restrictive media in the western world. Censorship by omission denies Australians their democratic right to make sense of whole stratas of political and foreign policy. That's why Green Left Weekly is a beacon, doing a job of honourable journalism, as an agent of people, not power."
