Songs for Social Justice
Songs for Social Justice is a gathering to share our rich treasury of songs, to meet other music-lovers and to encourage more music into our movement for change.
It starts with a concert on the Friday night, then a weekend of sharing songs, teaching songs, writing songs and being surrounded by the songs that our social change movement produces. Weekend tickets are $50 (or $35 concession) and you can come to a single day for $20 ($15 concession).
Fri August 24, 8.15pm - Gaelic Club, Upstairs, 64 Devonshire St, Surry Hills.
Sat-Sun August 25-26, 9.30am-5pm. Teachers Federation House, 23-33 Mary Street, Surry Hills.

"Australia has the most restrictive media in the western world. Censorship by omission denies Australians their democratic right to make sense of whole stratas of political and foreign policy. That's why Green Left Weekly is a beacon, doing a job of honourable journalism, as an agent of people, not power."
