Blue Mountains SOLARdarity Walk
Date: Sun 30 Sep, 12:00pm - Sun 30 Sep, 2:00pm
Blue Mountains SOLARdarity Walk Join this beautiful walk to show your support for building Australia's first large solar thermal plant in Port Augusta, South Australia, to replace the two polluting coal power stations there. The SOLARdarity walk coincides with the end of a 325-km walk from Port Augusta to Adelaide by activists in South Australia. Dozens of groups around Australia will walk in SOLARdarity with them and add our voices to the call for concentrated solar thermal to be a major part of Australia's energy future. Meet at 12noon on Sunday, September 30th, at the Wentworth Falls picnic area (in the national park at the end of Falls Rd) for the walk to Princes Rock Lookout (approximately half hour return). Join a picnic in the park afterwards.

"Australia has the most restrictive media in the western world. Censorship by omission denies Australians their democratic right to make sense of whole stratas of political and foreign policy. That's why Green Left Weekly is a beacon, doing a job of honourable journalism, as an agent of people, not power."
