Break ties with apartheid Israel!

“Hey Gillard, you can’t hide! You support genocide!” chanted protesters outside the June 11 Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Sydney. The luncheon was addressed by deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

Speakers at the protest, called for the Australia government to break all ties with apartheid Israel. In late March, Gillard announced she would lead a high-level delegation to strengthen cultural and business ties with Israel.

Representatives from Gaza Defence Committee-Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions Sydney, Students 4 Palestine, Coalition for Justice and Peace in Palestine, Jews Against the Occupation and Stop the War Coalition Sydney addressed the rally.
