What began as a show dedicated to workers rights and conditions and as an opposing voice to the Howard governments attacks, has grown to cover many national and international struggles, providing a broader vision of the erosion of our democratic freedoms and civil liberties. The show supports the anti-war movement, offers environmental education and provides a daily voice to a number of marginalised sections of the community ignored or demonised by the mainstream media.
The show provides information for working people, such as nurses, teachers, miners, builders, cleaners, lawyers, young people entering the work force and retired union members. A

Annual funding for
Workers Radio Sydney is comprised entirely of contributions from over 20 trade unions, three local councils (Ashfield, Marrickville and Leichhardt) and other community organisations.
