SRI LANKA: Air force bombs Tamils


17 November 1993

Two Sri Lankan Air Force jets began bombing the town of Mullaithivu and its suburbs on June 15, according to a TamilNet report. The town is controlled by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The LTTE’s S. Elilan said that Sampoor and Muttur East in the port city of Trincomalee had suffered artillery fire.
