Hot air on global warming

26 April 2006

PERTH — Don’t worry, be happy, global warming will be tackled by big business, says a PricewaterhouseCoopers’ publication released on April 10. The Corporate Responsibility: Strategy, management and value handbook expects corporate sustainable development to be more “evolution than revolution” over the next 10 years.

“Sustainability has moved from the fringes of the business world to the top of the agenda for shareholders, employees, regulators and customers”, Sunny Misser, the company’s head of sustainability, said in a media release. “Any miscalculation of issues related to sustainability can have serious repercussions on how the world judges a company and values its shares.”
