Blowin' in the wind

17 November 1993

PORT MACQUARIE — On March 5, 60 people attended a screening of David Bradbury’s new documentary Blowin’ in the Wind, which focusses on the use by the US military of depleted uranium munitions. The DVD showing raised funds for Amnesty International’s Hastings River branch. Branch convener Paul Jones introduced Bradbury, who spoke about how he had spent three years researching the documentary.

In Canberra on March 24, 50 people attended a screening of Bradbury’s film at the Australian National University. Afterwards, a new campaign group was proposed to respond to the renewed interest in the nuclear fuel cycle and uranium mining. To contact the group, email <canberra@greenleft.org.au>.
