'Free speech - yes! Ruddock - no!'

17 November 1993

Ruddock — no!’

LISMORE — On November 21, federal attorney-general Philip Ruddock was met by 120 protesters when he came to Lismore. The protest was organised by the Lismore Civil Rights Coalition and protesters chanted “Free speech — yes, Ruddock — no!” and “One, two three four, kick Ruddock out the door, five, six seven, eight, we don’t want a police state”.

Another protest at the government’s attacks on civil liberties has been called for December 10 at 10am in Magellan Street.
