Art against occupation

18 June 2003

ADELAIDE — Seventy people attended the launch of the Children of the Gulf War photographic exhibition at the University of Adelaide on June 10. The display features photos by Takashi Morizumi. Former Baghdad-based “human shield” Ruth Russell told the audience: “Iraqis did not want this war... Iraqis didn't want US occupation and that's what they're fighting now”. Children of the Gulf War can be viewed at the Barr-Smith Library, University of Adelaide until June 28. Entry is free. Visit <http://www.wilpf.org.au/exhibitPictures.html> for a preview.
