The federal government has already made formal liberalisation proposals in the following sectors:
  • architecture services;
  • engineering services;
  • financial services;
  • construction services;
  • legal services;
  • telecommunications services; and
  • accountancy services.
More formal proposals are likely to follow soon, especially in the two most contentious areas: health services and education services.
