Game Park -- To be screened over four Sundays, this documentary takes viewers to the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park in South Africa. Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park is the oldest game reserve in Africa, stretching over nearly a thousand square kilometres, in the middle of KwaZulu-Natal -- South Africa's most politically charged province. It is home to tens of thousands of wild animals. Based on unprecedented access to the inner workings of the park, Game Park is one of the most revealing series to come out of the new South Africa. The series follows the fortunes and daily lives of people living and working in the reserve. SBS, beginning Sunday, July 23, 8.30pm.
Federico Garcia Lorca: A Family Portrait -- Portrays the life of th poet and playwright through the personal recollections of his family and the views of other writers. In 1936, at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, Lorca, who was never directly political but had strong leftist sympathies, was executed by a firing squad of General Franco's fascist troops.
