Patrick: His Life, His Land -- To mark St Patrick's Day, this film attempts to discover the truth about the life of St Patrick in Ireland. It takes us back to the 5th century, the times of paganism, marauding invaders and sweeping religious change. Expert historians examine the historical context and debate various theories, while vivid re-enactments illustrate Patrick's transformation from privileged aristocrat to tormented slave and missionary.
