Soundstage -- After Agincourt -- Bob Hoskins gives a marvellous solo performance in a play which retells Shakespeare's Henry the Fifth from the point of view of Pistol, one of the minor characters. Pistol is a common foot soldier who sees the battle in all its bloody and inglorious detail, and whose tale radically undercuts the heroics of the Shakespeare original. Produced by the BBC.
