That's History -- The Last Big Dig -- Historian Grace Karskens and a team of archaeologists have begun a major dig in Sydney's historic Rocks area. As each layer of the past is unearthed, the team hopes to evaluate the impact of the industrial revolution and the rise of class in Australia. ABC Radio National, Friday, September 9, 7.10pm.

International Playhouse -- Justice Feral -- By Albert Welling. In this delightful piece of fantasy, Justice Feral finds himself sitting on the case of “The Crown v the Farmer's Wife” -- the three plaintiffs being three visually handicapped mice. Produced for the BBC by Stuart Kerr. ABC Radio National, Friday, September 9, 8.05pm.

Arts National -- And the Word Was Coke -- Part II. At the end of World War II, one US GI in Fremantle was seen paying a week's wages to another for a bottle of Coke. Coca-Cola had so successfully become part of the war effort that it seemed to personify the US way of life. This feature explores how the war played a major part in spreading Coke around the world. The program also looks at how Australia is now playing a major role in pushing the product into Indonesia and eastern Europe. ABC Radio National, Saturday, September 10, 3.30pm.

Encounter -- My Child: My World -- The second part of David Busch's series on population control and the environment as the Cairo summit meets. ABC Radio National, Sunday, September 11, 7.10am.

Awabakal Aboriginal Voices -- From the Awabakal Newcastle Aboriginal co-op. 2NUR-FM, every Sunday, 5pm.

Jezabelles -- Wicked funk and acid jazz grooves plus previews of women in music and the arts. 2SER-FM, every Tuesday, 1pm.

Late Night Live -- With Phillip Adams. Topical, political, cultural and philosophical issues with world experts. ABC Radio National, Mon-Thurs, 10.10pm.
