Many of these people have grandparents who settled in Australia before Federation and before the White Australia policy shut them out. The play combines the contemporary story of an Aboriginal family struggling for survival in a run-down Perth suburb, with the dreams of Uncle Worru. The cast, which includes Davis, is drawn from the growing community of Aboriginal actors. ABC Radio National, Sunday, August 14, 3.05pm.
A Portrait Of Eileen Joyce -- This portrait depicts Eileen Joyce's life from her childhood in Boulder, Western Australia, through her whirlwind musical career, to her final years in Surrey, England. Music in the program includes: Grainger, Beethoven, Liszt, Ravel, Chopin, Rachmaninov and others. ABC Classic FM, Sunday, August 14, 8pm.
