You may be surprised to learn that over one in 10 of Green Left Weekly subscribers are from rural areas. On the whole, these are areas where Green Left is not sold on the street. Subscribing to Green Left in these towns involves a very conscious decision, by people who certainly appreciate the alternative it provides.
Green Left has subscribers in the country from Armidale to Yass and from Bendigo to Ballarat, in all states in Australia. It's a section of our subscriptions base that we'd like to see grow.
Green Left is not a purely urban newspaper. The concerns we field are broader than city streets. Green Left Weekly doesn't fall into the trap of assuming that everyone in country areas is conservative and votes National Party.
